The basic thing about Bokor is that they were people who knew each other a bit, some of them had a history of playing together before but there was a time when they thought \"Ok, let\'s get together and play some wicked stuff, do strange things, do whatever we feel like, and really use all the creativity and talent we have.\" That’s basically it. Bokor is one of those bands who look into their own heads and other stuff than music for inspiration, that’s what makes Bokor pretty hard to label. They’d like to keep a little mystique around. They’re not \"your nextdoor generic death/thrash band\", without trying to sound too pretentious. They like to think that music business right now is very open for bands that dare to experiment a little, to go their own ways. They like to look into the details of everything, always twisting them a bit, messing things up, then putting them back together in new but still slightly disturbing way, yet still accessible. Try to think at a sort of mixture of very unique bands such as Tool, Mastodon, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Anathema and System Of A Down and you’ll get an idea of what Bokor sound like.
