Welcome to the sick and twisted world that is known as Seraphim Shock. S.S. is a Denver-based band that is the brainchild of singer/guitarist/programmer/songwriter Charles Edward. In creating the monster that is Seraphim Shock, Charles has successfully produced a band that stands out in an industry overly saturated with mundane music that is \"here today and gone tomorrow\". From the bands early Goth roots to the Hard Rock hybrid (Horror Punk, Electro Glam, Goth Metal) that it is today, Seraphim has a sound that can be appreciated by many and blurs genre lines so easily drawn.
Best known for its live shows (see reviews) and Charles Edwards vocal croonings, Seraphim Shock arrived on the national scene in November of 97 with the release of the critically-acclaimed full-length album \"Red Silk Vow\". The video single \"After Dark\" claimed top honors in three major film festivals, including the prestigious Leigh Gipper award at the Philadelphia International Film Festival. Ignoring trends and so-called \"industry experts\", S.S. spent the next three and a half years tearing up the underground, headlining more than half a dozen national events and spending well over six months on the road crushing audiences nationwide with its over the top stage show. During this time the band also released \"Nightmares for the Banished\" (5/99) and the single \"Prey\" (2/2000) which spent six months in the top ten MP3 Gothic Metal Charts, ultimately reaching #2! With the outrageous in tow, S.S. spent 2000 and 2001 headlining select national events while developing a cult following both in Denver and on the road that is virtually unheard of for an unsigned act. All of this has been done without major advertising or distribution on any level, but by word of mouth and reputation. In fact, ticket sales in select markets have made Seraphim Shock one of the most highly sought after unsigned acts in America today.
In the spring of 2002 a new release was scrapped in favor of more touring when S.S. was offered a prime slot on the \"Down With The Devil Tour\". The fall of 2002 brought a pivotal point in the history of Seraphim. Faced with the pressure of releasing new product with a group of individuals that had grown complacent, driving force Charles Edward opted to take a 15 month hiatus to write, record and re-emerge with his new partner in crime, Daisy Grave. With her riot girl vocals, \"take no prisoners\" playing style and stunning good looks, Daisy joined Charles upfront for an unbeatable stage chemistry that rivals anything out there today. Backing this mayhem on keys is electro freak Mark Harvey. Bringing a \"whatever it takes attitude\", Mark has been a mainstay with Charles since 2000 and a pivotal piece to the backbone of Seraphim Shock.
2004 brought the highly anticipated full length \"Halloween Sex N Vegas\", a wave of new fans and select headlining slots all over America. With German/European markets latching on to \"White Trash Satan\", the band stepping into broader U.S. markets and the success of HSV, SS is set to make 2005 unforgettable. 2005 will see the band at its best ever with major US tours and its first European dates. \"Americas best kept secret\", is set to take its rightful place with rocks elite.
Welcome to our world.
